About Bondi Surf Girls 🌸

More Than a Surf Session

Bondi Surf Girls was born from a simple truth:
Bondi Beach is iconic - but it can feel intimidating paddling out alone.

What started as a few friends meeting for sunrise surfs has grown into a thriving women’s surf community in Bondi Beach. Today, we host weekly morning surf sessions, offer secure surfboard storage just minutes from the sand, and provide flexible surfboard rentals - all built around connection, confidence and consistency in the ocean.

We didn’t set out to build a business. We set out to build the space we wished existed.

Our Community Values 🌸

Inclusivity

We embrace all women, celebrating diverse backgrounds. We paddle out together. We celebrate the wins together.

Bondi Surf Girls is built on genuine connection - from sunrise surf to post-surf coffees.

It’s not about how well you surf. It’s about feeling comfortable, supported and feeling part of the lineup.

Wellness

We believe surfing heals.

Our events are designed to leave you feeling stronger, calmer and more grounded.

Through surfing, yoga and breathwork, we create space to move, reset and reconnect - physically and mentally.

Community Care

We look after each other - in and out of the water.

Whether it’s cheering someone into a wave or coming together during difficult moments in our local community, Bondi Surf Girls is a space where no one stands alone.

Meet the Founders

Bondi Surf Girls is built by locals who truly live the Bondi lifestyle - early mornings, salty hair, and strong coffee after a surf.

Caterina Piccolomini and Miguel Pieters moved to Sydney four years ago and fell in love with Bondi Beach the moment they landed. What started as casual sunrise surfs quickly turned into something much bigger.

“Today, surfing isn’t just something we do - it shapes how we live”

We surf almost every day. Our apartment holds more than ten boards. Most weekends revolve around chasing swell up or down the Australian coast. And whenever we can, we travel to surf some of the world’s most iconic breaks - from Indonesia and the Philippines to Sri Lanka and South Africa.

Surfing changed our lives. It built confidence, clarity and community.

Caterina, originally from Italy, leads the community side of Bondi Surf Girls, creating a welcoming, supportive space where women feel comfortable paddling out, improving, and showing up consistently.

Miguel, born in Belgium, focuses on building the infrastructure behind the scenes - from secure surfboard storage in Bondi Beach to rentals and systems that allow the community to grow sustainably.

We’re not a big commercial surf school. We’re two people who fell in love with surfing - and built the community we wished existed when we started surfing
